Professional Education Services Group
PESG conducts a comprehensive needs assessment for every activity to better understand the knowledge, perceptions and practice patterns of clinicians and health care professionals in multiple disciplines.
This process will identify gaps between best practice and current practice with an emphasis on how to move these professionals towards the best practice. Specific focus will be on barriers to optimum patient care and the identification of preferred educational initiatives to address the unmet needs of clinicians and health care professionals. PESG utilizes multiple avenues of input, including: national experts and organizations, clinicians, and literature reviews.
The data collected through the needs assessment can then be utilized to plan and develop educational initiatives to provide clinicians with practical, concise, fair-balanced, evidence-based clinical information on advances in the topic under review. A comprehensive needs assessment and focused educational initiatives based on these identified needs will go a long way toward narrowing the knowledge gaps and improving clinician performance. All of this will ultimately lead to improved patient outcomes.
